Royal Enfield showcased no-less than seven special hand picked machines as part of its iconic Custom World programme, bringing some of the very finest and unique builds to the iconic Wheels & Waves festival, for the very first time.

The Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 is a motorcycle that doesn’t need much to be ready for serious adventure. It’s built for it. But when someone comes in with a clear vision, and wants to push further, go harder, and fine-tune every detail, you end up with something like this.

Most custom shops would count their lucky stars to have one world class bike builder on their roster. Some have big dreams in the field but they end up just bolting on aftermarket parts and calling it a day. And that’s because proper customs take a whole truckload of engineering chops and real-world experience to ensure that you aren’t sending customers out on a bike that just doesn’t work, or worse still, one that isn’t safe to ride.

Saying that New Zealanders are good with motorcycles is like saying that the sun is hot or that fried chicken is delicious; unless you’ve been living under a rock for the past 50 years, you’ll already know this. After all, how many other countries have produced the likes of Burt Munro and John Britten? Talk about punching above their weight. And in that vein, Hamilton’s Royale Motorcycles thought they’d shake things up a little with their new Royal Enfield Busted Knuckles 2022 entry.

Albury is a funny old town. Less of a destination and more of a place that’s in between things, it sits on the border of Australia’s two most populous states. On a good day, the place would have more people pass through it than actually live there; to call it ‘bustling’ is probably to understate things dramatically. So it goes without saying that getting around the town is crucial to most residents, but it’s also fair to say that there’s now one resident that seems to be doing it in a lot more style than everyone else.
